If you avoid working with ribbons because you feel they are too stiff and scratchy, then try Must.  It's a very soft ribbon yarn that has a very slight sheen.  Content is 100% nylon.  Put up is 50 g., 99 yds.  Gauge is 4.5 sts. to 1".
